FIT & SIZING
The Tahr XP is made to go over your other layers, so it has a bit of extra room through the chest and body rather than sitting tight. There’s plenty of space to wear a fleece or warm mid layer underneath, while the longer back gives you extra coverage when you're out in wet weather.

The outer layer, or shell as it is sometimes known, has a big job to do. It is your best form of defence against wind, rain and snow. Choose a garment that will do all of the above, not just by fabric, but by DESIGN!
Tried many over the he years but these have shone above all .Second one for me despite old one twenty years on and still going strong....Got this one because of the hand warmer pockets ...

Outstanding in every way
I can't quite believe how good the Tahr XP is! I spent a week on The Isle of Lewis in some really harsh conditions, a great deal of it lying face down in peat and water. The coat still looks like new and I remained completely dry. Amazing.

Anorak
Hunting season Sweden. It rains a lot then it gets cold with sleet and snow. Found what I was looking for. A large waterproof anorak with enough space for warm layers underneath. Good hunting!

Got this for hiking in the UK and it has out performed everything else
I’ve had my tahr for a year and a bit, still looks like new and performs like I just got it. I use mine for hiking and whilst at times it does feel a little warmer than other jackets I have, it’s far our performs anything I have used before and any equipment friends and family have. I love how it deals with light rain as the nap of the fabric stops the rain before it fully hits the membrane so I feel dryer for longer. The cut is amazing and I will only buy Swazi rain coats again.
The only minor thing I would change is that the hood is very tight on my head when I have a heavy bag on and I wish that there was a bit more fabric around the base of the hood for more freedom of movement. I have just come from a helmet compatible forested jacket and while I don’t use a helmet, I enjoy the extra material in this design as the hood never feels like it’s pushing on my head.
