WHAT IS AEGIS®?
Swazi AEGIS® is our unique waterproof and windproof membrane. Its purpose is to deflect wind, snow and rain, while being highly breathable to allow perspiration to escape. We utilise two types of AEGIS® membranes: Windshield and Watershield.
HOW DOES WATERSHIELD WORK?
Our AEGIS® Watershield membrane is responsible for protecting you from all adverse weather conditions. Rain, snow, sleet and wind cannot pass through the membrane.
However, the membrane does allow moisture vapour from perspiration to escape, preventing you from getting wet from the inside when your putting in the hard yards.
HOW DOES WINDSHIELD WORK?
Similar to our Watershield membrane, our AEGIS® Windshield membrane allows moisture vapour from persiration to escape the fabric while blocking the wind.
Windshield does not have any waterproof properties, but the DWR (durable water repellent) sprayed onto the face fabric of Windshield garments does offer some protection from showers.

AEGIS® SWIFT
Used across our range of windproof gear, AEGIS® Swift blocks even the strongest gusts of wind while allowing moisture vapour from perspiration to escape, preventing your jacket getting wet from the inside.
Swift features a fleece face fabric and lining, making it incredibly soft on skin and quiet to move in. Exactly what you need in a hunting jacket. It's also shower resistant, thanks to its DWR!
AEGIS® WHISPER
Swazi AEGIS® Whisper fabric is built to be as quiet, durable and weather-tight as possible, making it ideal for hunting in any conditions.
Crafted with Swazi AEGIS® membrane, the face fabric of our Whisper range utilises a brushed trico-knit fabric, resulting in a soft and incredibly quiet material. The latest generation of Whisper also features an impressive waterproof rating of 20,000mm/m2/24 hrs and a breathability rating of 20,000g/m2/24 hrs.
AEGIS® STRATA
Keeping pack weight as low as possible is a massive factor when it comes to comfort in the backcountry. Less weight = less fatigue. It's simple as that.
We've built our new AEGIS® Strata to be as lightweight and quiet as possible, without sacrificing performance. All of our garments in our Ultralite range utilise AEGIS® Strata and feature a waterproof rating of 20,000mm/m2/24 hrs and a breathability rating of 20,000g/m2/24hrs.
AEGIS® WORX
Our toughest fabric yet, AEGIS® Worx sets the standard for durable, weatherproof, and abrasion-resistant gear.
Used in our Torrent range, it's a totally waterproof and windproof fabric, yet its also highly breathable. Built to work as hard as you do, it's the ideal choice when you're on the job in adverse weather conditions, be it on the farm or the work site.
