Polar Fleece Jumper

In Kiwi hunting circles, the Doughroaster is whoever stays in camp on a lay-day to sort the fire and get dinner on. The name fits — because this is the fleece you reach for when the pace slows down and the cold moves in. The Doughroaster fleece is built for the easy days, the cold mornings and everything in between. Wear it under a waterproof when the weather turns or on its own when it doesn't.

A high collar keeps the wind off your neck without getting in the way. A long chest zip dumps heat fast when you're on the move. Large zippered kangaroo pocket holds your phone, your keys and whatever else the day calls for — all within easy reach. Adjustable hem pull cord cinches the warmth in when the temperature drops and keeps it there. Warm, practical and the kind of layer that earns its place on every trip out.

    DOUGHROASTER - COOKING HOT!

I originally purchase the DOUGH BOY, but like a dummy I left it on a fence somewhere, or on top of mu ute canopy and never found it! Whoever found it also score a Nitecore spotlight and Olight magnetic barrel mount. My loss, their gain....

By the time the seasons started to change and I came to buy a replacement Swazi had change the name from DOUGHBOY of DOUGHROASTER, possibly embracing society tend towards non specific gender clothing?

Anyway, the DOUGHROASTER is by far the WARMEST piece of clothing I have in my kit bag. I wouldn't go through winter without one. The huge, cavernous kangaroo pouch pocket is enormous. I actually stitch mine into thirds vertically, so as to keep my shotgun shells on the right hand side. The bottom, waist, drawcord is bloody brilliant for keeping the draft out of your back crack! And the collar zips right up to my chin and balaclava. The elastic wrist band complete the seal and keep me toastie pie!

    Highly recommended!

    Roasting with Doughroaster

Love, love it! Going to be wearing it on an expedition to Antarctic waters so got to be warm!

Also, delivery was super fast. Only critique is I wish the blue had still been available. Happy with khaki/olive though. Winter clothing should be bright too (unless you want to camouflage).

Thirty years on and still going

After thirty years of service I am about to retire my last Doughroaster. This was given by NZ Mountain Safety Council to instructors over thirty years ago. The stitching is still holding despite the thrashing it has had over the decades.
