Getting a fabric to be genuinely waterproof and genuinely breathable at the same time is harder than it sounds. Most fabrics compromise one for the other. AEGIS® Watershield achieves both by bonding a proprietary membrane between face and lining fabrics — the membrane's microscopic structure blocks liquid water molecules from getting in while allowing the smaller water vapour molecules from perspiration to escape. The result is a fabric that keeps you dry when the rain turns serious and doesn't trap the sweat when you're working hard in it. Built for the people who can't afford to get it wrong — rated to 20,000mm waterhead, well beyond what the most severe rain conditions will throw at them.
